housing and regulatory reform

Curo Group is a not-for-profit housing association based in Bath. Its operating area is the West of England, the largest housing provider of homes in Bath and North East Somerset. In 2011 Curo was formed following the merger of a number of other associations, including Somer Housing Group, Redland Housing Association and Shape Housing following a poor regulatory assessment.

Programme Management services were commissioned which co-ordinated multiple project workstreams leading to the successful business merger and establishment of a new governance model and Executive structure under a new company identity. Fresh project governance controls were implemented following a root and branch assessment of its existing practices, creating a blueprint for a permanent Programme Management Office. Working closely with the Chief Executive Office and Board Chairman, the organisation has now achieved significant improvements in its regulatory status for governance and viability.
