Business operational excellence

In 2013 Capita acquired the UK Fire Service College from the Department of Communities and Local Government. The College delivers a wide range of training outcomes for firefighters, emergency responders and the private sector across the globe, and the challenge was to now deliver an uplift in operational excellence in its processes and systems.

Project Managing a team of Capita Sigma Black Belt consultants, business leads and Directors in 2019 within a defined project management environment, a package of evidence led recommendations was delivered, captured through extensive customer and employee consultation and feedback, data analysis and sector best practice research. This provided the College with a blueprint to implement smart, joined-up customer management systems, profitable course delivery and evaluation, increased revenue opportunities and maximisation of capital and people resources.
